The short version
Avalert is an independent Avios boost tracker. You don't create an account or log in, and we never ask for your Avios or British Airways credentials. We collect the minimum needed to send you boost alerts for the brands you track, and to run an optional Premium subscription. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who we are
Avalert (“we”, “us”) provides the Avalert iOS app and this website. For any privacy question, get in touch via our support form.
What we collect and why
- Anonymous device identifier. The app generates a random id for your device so we can remember which brands you track and which you've favourited. It isn't linked to your name or a login.
- Tracked brands & favourites. The retailers you follow, your per-brand alert thresholds, and your favourites are stored on our server against that anonymous id, so alerts work across restarts.
- Push notification token. If you enable alerts, your device's push token is stored so we can deliver boost notifications. Disable notifications any time in iOS Settings.
- Purchases & subscriptions. If you buy Avalert Premium, the purchase is processed by Apple and validated through RevenueCat. We receive subscription status (active/expired), not your card details.
- Contact form. If you email us or use the support form, we receive the name, email address, and message you provide, so we can reply.
- Promo codes. If you redeem a promo code, we process the email address and code you enter to grant the offer.
What we do not collect
- No Avios, British Airways, or IAG Loyalty login or account details.
- No name or contact details unless you choose to contact us or redeem a code.
- No precise location, contacts, photos, or health data.
- No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad tracking.
Service providers we use
We share data only with the providers needed to run the app:
- Apple — app distribution and in-app purchases.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and receipt validation.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.
- Cloudflare — hosting of our backend and this website.
- Resend — sending support replies and promo emails.
Rate data is read from the public avios.com eStore; we don't share your information with Avios or retailers.
Data retention
We keep your tracked brands, favourites, and push token for as long as you use the app. You can remove tracked brands and favourites in-app at any time. To have your data deleted, contact us and we'll remove the records associated with your device id.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Because we don't hold a login, the quickest route is to reach us via our support form and tell us your device id (shown in the app's About screen).
Children
Avalert is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
